STAGE PRODUCTIONS

BRING ONE OF OUR SELF-PRODUCED SHOWS TO YOUR THEATRE!

‘Grey Skies blue’

In GSB, dancers powerfully tell the story of a summer of friendships through interconnected vignettes, exploring emotional themes of social injustice, sexual identity, family dysfunction, and betrayal. A group of diverse youth face a painful life-altering experience when one of their African American brothers encounters a policeman filled with racial hatred; two lifelong friends embrace their journey of self-identity together; an independent young woman is painfully forced to confront her past when her estranged mother suddenly appears at her doorstep; and a promising relationship is challenged beyond deceit.

‘STRUCK’

Struck is a coming of age drama about a prom night gone awry. STRUCK is laced with complex emotional themes of; classism, mental health, and sexual abuse. Curated to heart-pumping music and captivating storytelling, this production uses contemporary and hip-hop movements to dissect hard-hitting messages in a digestable, educational, and aspirational way.

Suggested for mature audiences of 12+.

‘SUPERHERO’

SHAPESHIFT’s Superhero illuminates the journey of 8 friends discovering what it takes to be heroes in their own community. Against the backdrop of a vibrant city, these close-knit friends encounter challenges that lead them to learn empowering lessons of empathy, hard work, caring for the earth, and knowing what it means to help our neighbors. Set in the classroom and lead by their beloved teacher Mr. G, they share their story in becoming their own Superhero.
